Criminal Class Press
West Coast Tour!
Join some of our writers as they brave the West, bringing our brand of lit to the masses.
Criminal Class Review, Chicago's hard luck literary magazine, seizes the west coast and takes no prisoners. Making rounds from San Quentin State Prison to Hollywood, their criminal class of authors will tell stories ranging from the grotesque to urban survival. Drugs, sex, and murder are no strangers to us.

The Literary Outlaws Hit the Road on an East Coast Tour!
A Five-City Reading Fest is Under way as Criminal Class Embarks October 14th for Their First Road Show.
Criminal Class's "Anti-Gala," showcased at Joone Studios, availed an unexpectedly large crowd as 50 or so guests arrived in anticipation. The writers performed with passion as people listened attentively to their tales of hard luck, sexual perversions, and psychotic schemes. Everyone dined and drank on a vast spread of food and alcohol while above them, a myriad of Criminal Class artwork hung along a wall of black and white - checkered trim which created a NOIR-like atmosphere. Jim Goad, their headliner, attracted several fans and friends, among them was controversial writer, Peter Sotos, who has been a prospective writer for the press. The gala was to raise funds for CCP's upcoming East Coast Tour in October. We wish all their Roadster writers and performers along the way the best of luck as Criminal Class Press is drawing the attention of mainstream literature, creating a larger following. Hats off to Criminal Class! We look forward to their next event!
The outlaws of literature are touring to give the east coast a taste of Chicago’s gritty working class writers. The tour will include readings and opportunities to meet the writers, as well as widening the audience of Criminal Class Review, Criminal Class Press’s literary magazine.
